Exposition:
Rising Action:
1. Alymer becomes obsessed with removing Georgiana's birthmark, the only flaw in her otherwise perfect features.
2. Due to his constant expressions of disgust, Georgiana begins to hate her birthmark too.
3. With Georgiana's agreement and Aminadab's help, Alymer sets up a series of experiments to remove her birthmark, but it is proving more difficult than he thought.
Climax:
Georgiana drinks a potion that Alymer is sure will rid her of the birthmark. All his work has led up to this point.
Falling action:
4. Georgiana passes out and Alymer watches her.
5. She eventually wakes up, and although her birthmark is gone, something is definitely wrong.
Denouement:
As a result of Alymer's foolishness, Georgiana dies. Without her birthmark, she is too perfect for this world.
